Purposes of Data Processing
mkt4 processes personal data for the following clearly defined purposes. Each purpose is supported by a lawful basis.
- Account creation and authentication — to establish, maintain, and secure player accounts, including session tokens, login history, and password management;
- Age and identity verification — to confirm that all players are aged 21 or above in compliance with our minimum age requirement, and to carry out anti-fraud and KYC checks;
- Payment processing — to handle MYR deposits through local payment partners and process withdrawal requests to verified accounts held in the player's name;
- Bonus and promotion administration — to determine eligibility, apply promotional credits, monitor wagering progress, and prevent coordinated misuse offers;
- Customer support — to respond to enquiries, resolve account issues, investigate disputed transactions, and maintain support records;
- Security and fraud prevention — to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent activity, collusion, money laundering, and unauthorised account access;
- Responsible gambling controls — to apply deposit limits, self-exclusion, cooling-off periods, and responsible gambling reviews where requested or required;
- Legal and regulatory compliance — to meet obligations under applicable law, respond to lawful authority requests, and retain records for the required periods;
- Platform improvement — to analyse aggregated, anonymised usage patterns that inform product, performance, and security decisions.
Section 4
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
mkt4 uses cookies and similar technologies to support the operation, security, and performance of the platform. Cookies are placed on your browser or device when you visit mkt4 and may remain for the duration of your session or for a specified period thereafter.
The main categories of cookies used are as follows:
- Strictly necessary cookies — required for login, session management, and basic security features. These cannot be disabled without affecting platform functionality.
- Functional cookies — used to remember your language preference, display settings, and recently accessed game categories to improve your experience across visits.
- Analytics cookies — collect anonymised data on page visits, session duration, and feature usage to help identify performance issues and improve the platform. Individual users are not identified through this data.
- Security cookies — assist in detecting unusual login behaviour, repeated failed authentication attempts, and device changes that may indicate unauthorised access.
You may manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit the functionality of mkt4 and prevent some features from working correctly. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be declined, as they are essential to the platform's operation.
Section 5
Data Disclosure and Third Parties
mkt4 does not sell or transfer personal data for unrelated commercial use. Data may be disclosed to the following categories of third party where necessary and proportionate to a defined processing purpose:
- Payment partners — MYR payment processors, banking networks, and e-wallet operators such as those facilitating Touch 'n Go eWallet, Boost, GrabPay, DuitNow, FPX, Maybank, CIMB, and Public Bank transfers receive the transaction and identity data required to complete payment instructions;
- Identity and compliance providers — specialist KYC and age verification services that process identity document images and data to produce a verification result used by mkt4;
- Technology infrastructure providers — hosting, content delivery, database management, and security providers who process data on behalf of mkt4 in accordance with data processing agreements;
- Game and platform suppliers — game providers whose software is integrated into mkt4 may receive anonymised session identifiers to support game operation, fairness auditing, and technical support;
- Regulatory and legal authorities — government agencies, law enforcement bodies, courts, or regulators may lawfully require mkt4 to disclose specific information. Such disclosures are limited to what is legally required and are not made voluntarily for commercial purposes.
Where a third-party processor handles personal data on mkt4's behalf, they are required to maintain confidentiality, use the data only for the agreed purpose, and apply security measures appropriate to the data involved.
Section 6
Data Retention
mkt4 retains personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law, contractual obligation, or regulatory requirement. The following considerations govern retention decisions:
- Account identity and KYC documents are retained for the duration of the active account relationship and for a reasonable period after closure to meet anti-moneylaundering, fraud prevention, and dispute-resolution requirements;
- Transaction and payment records are retained as required by applicable financial and tax obligations;
- Support correspondence is retained for a reasonable period after resolution to allow review of recurring issues and provide context in the event of a related enquiry;
- Technical and session data is retained in anonymised or aggregated form for a period sufficient to identify and investigate security incidents;
- Data related to self-exclusion and responsible gambling measures is retained throughout the exclusion period and for a further period to prevent re-registration in violation of the exclusion.
When data is no longer required, mkt4 securely deletes or anonymises it so that it can no longer be associated with an identified individual.
Section 7
Data Security
mkt4 applies technical and organisational security measures intended to protect personal data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction, or disclosure. These measures include:
- TLS encryption for all data transmitted between the platform and user devices;
- Access controls restricting internal access to personal data on a need-to-know basis;
- Secure storage environments for identity documents, KYC records, and payment data;
- Regular security reviews and monitoring for anomalous activity or attempted intrusion;
- Separation of production systems from test environments to reduce data exposure risk.
Players also have a role in account security. You should use a strong, unique password, enable any available two-factor authentication, avoid accessing your account on shared devices, and contact mkt4 support immediately if you suspect unauthorised activity on your account. mkt4 will never ask you to disclose your full password through a support channel.
Section 8
Your Data Rights
Subject to applicable law and the circumstances of your account, you may hold the following rights in relation to personal data mkt4 processes about you. Rights are not absolute and may be limited where they conflict with legal obligations, fraud prevention requirements, or ongoing regulatory holds.
Right of Access
You may request a copy of the personal data mkt4 holds about you, along with information about the purposes and recipients of that data.
Right to Rectification
If personal data held about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request a correction. Corrections to KYC-verified information may require supporting evidence.
Right to Erasure
You may request deletion of personal data where it is no longer needed for the purpose collected and no legal, regulatory, or responsible gambling hold applies.
Right to Restriction
You may request that processing of your data be restricted in certain circumstances, such as while an accuracy dispute is being resolved.
Right to Object
You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Processing necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or active account obligations will generally continue regardless.
Right to Data Portability
Where processing is based on your consent or contract performance and carried out by automated means, you may request a structured, machine-readable copy of relevant data.
To exercise a data right, contact mkt4 through the support channels on the platform. Provide your registered username and a clear description of the request. Do not include passwords or full payment details. mkt4 may need to verify your identity before actioning a request and will respond within a reasonable period.
Section 9
Minors and Age Restriction
mkt4 is strictly for adults aged 21 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from persons below the age of 21. Age verification is required as part of the registration and KYC process. If mkt4 becomes aware that data has been collected from a person who does not meet this requirement, steps will be taken to close the account and delete or anonymise the associated data as soon as reasonably practicable.
If you have reason to believe that a person below the age of 21 has registered or attempted to register with mkt4, please contact support immediately. Parental control and internet filtering tools are available through third-party providers and may help restrict access to gambling websites on shared devices.
Section 10
Changes to This Privacy Policy
mkt4 may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the platform, applicable law, regulatory guidance, data processing practices, or the services offered to Malaysian players. The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated whenever a material revision is made.
Material changes that affect how personal data is used may be communicated through an account notice or notification. Continued use of mkt4 following the effective date of a revised policy constitutes acceptance of the changes. If you do not accept a revised policy, you should cease using mkt4 and may request account closure through the support channels available on the platform.
Section 11
